How do I schedule my clinicals?

After you obtain clinical clearance, you are encouraged to start requesting your clinical/field shifts as soon as possible.
  1. Find your clinical/field sites: portal.axoneducation.com/clinicals 
    1. Please note that not all sites are able to accommodate every student. Placement availability may vary based on factors such as scope of practice, employee restrictions, operational needs, and site capacity. Students should be aware that travel may be required in order to complete clinical and field requirements.
  2. Watch the instructional video on How to Request A Shift before requesting your dates. 
  3. Access the Axon Student Portal - Clinical Module to schedule your shifts
    1. Some sites require paperwork or training to be completed before your shift requests can be sent to the provider. To avoid delays, please submit your requests when you are able to promptly complete any required paperwork or training. If a site requires you to attest to the completion of training that you have not yet finished (such as a notary or third-party account creation), please do not attest or submit confirmation until the requirements have actually been completed.

  1. You will see real-time status updates via the Axon Clinical Portal interface (linked above) as your request moves through the approval process.
  2. Please note that until you receive official approval from a site, do not make any travel arrangements. A request does not constitute official approval.
  3. Confirm your shift once it has been approved by the provider. As the shift approaches, log in to the portal to see if the Confirm button is available. This option will appear 3–5 days before your shift start date/time.
