What happens after I finish my program?
Once you have been issued a course completion from us, you may seek to obtain your official EMS certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). After you have achieved national certification, you may then apply for your Texas state licensure through the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). To complete either of those processes, you should follow the steps provided below.
NREMT Certification
Create a candidate account.
In the school field, enter "Axon Education."
Pay the fee and submit a request to test using the course completion date on your Completion Certificate from Texas EMS School (Attached to your Course Completion email).
Once you have submitted your testing request, email support@axoneducation.com with subject “Name, NREMT Verification.”
Once verified, you will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT).
Schedule your test date.
