How long is the program?

While each program has a maximum completion deadline, students may work as quickly as they are able through their program, so long as they consistently meet the minimum program requirements.
 

EMTB Program

  • 20 weeks (approximately 5 months) to complete all didactic coursework, including the comprehensive Readiness Exam
  • 26 weeks (approximately 6 months) to complete all program requirements, including the Skills Lab and clinical/field experiences

AEMT Program

  • 33 weeks (approximately 8 months) to complete all didactic coursework, including all Unit Exams and the Final Exam
  • 40 weeks (approximately 10 months) to complete all program requirements, including Skills Labs and clinical/field experiences

Paramedic Program

  • 69 weeks (approximately 16 months) to complete the didactic coursework and get started on Skills Labs, including all Unit Exams and the Final Exam
  • 78 weeks (approximately 18 months) to complete all program requirements, including all Skills Labs, clinical/field experiences, and the Capstone Field Internship

Paramedic Bridge Portion of Paramedic Program

  • 50 weeks (approximately 12 months) to complete all coursework and get started on Skills Labs, including all Unit Exams and the Final Exam
  • 62 weeks (approximately 15 months) to complete all program requirements, including all Skills Labs, clinical/field experiences, and the Capstone Field Internship
Paramedic students who have already obtained Advanced EMT credentials (Paramedic Bridge students) will be granted advanced placement into the Paramedic program, meaning they will have access to the full Paramedic program, but will not be required to complete Axon Education's Advanced EMT specific course material.
