What are the program requirements?

Each program has specific requirements that must be completed by either the Maximum Instructional Date (MID) or Maximum Course Duration (MCD). Below, you’ll find a general overview of the expectations and deadlines for your program.

EMT Program

By the MID:
- Complete all Canvas coursework
- Attend/Pass your ONLY skills lab session
- Attempt your final Readiness exam
By the MCD:
- Complete all clinical/field internships
- Pass your final readiness exam, if you haven't already
- Submit your Course Completion Request

Advanced EMT Program

By the MID:
- Complete all Canvas coursework
- Attend/Pass Session 1 Skills Lab
- Pass all unit exams (3)
- Attempt the final Readiness exam
By the MCD:
- Complete all clinical/field internships (including all SMC requirements)
- Attend/Pass Session 2 Skills Lab
- Pass your final readiness exam, if you haven't already
- Submit your Course Completion Request

Paramedic Program

By the MID:
- Complete all Canvas coursework
- Attend/Pass Session 1 Skills Lab
- Attend/Pass Session 2 Skills Lab
- Pass all unit exams (6)
- Attempt the final Readiness exam
By the MCD:
- Complete all clinical/field internships (including all SMC requirements)
- Attend/Pass Session 3 Skills Lab
- Pass your final readiness exam, if you haven't already
- Complete your Capstone internship
- Submit your Course Completion Request
- Pass Terminal Competency with Medical Director

Paramedic Bridge Program

By the MID:
- Complete all Canvas coursework
- Attend/Pass Session 1 Skills Lab
- Attend/Pass Session 2 Skills Lab
- Pass all unit exams (3)
- Attempt the final Readiness exam
By the MCD:
- Complete all clinical/field internships (including all SMC requirements)
- Attend/Pass Session 3 Skills Lab
- Pass your final readiness exam, if you haven't already
- Complete your Capstone internship
- Submit your Course Completion Request
- Pass Terminal Competency with Medical Director
