What are the uniform requirements for completing clinical/field experiences with my employer or home department?
You can wear your department uniform at your home department, but you still MUST wear your student badge when acting as a student at a clinical/field experience and completing skills. However, when you are attending a clinical/field experience at another site by which you are not employed, you are required to wear Texas EMS School's student uniform and your student badge - no exceptions. Here is an example of what this means:
- A student works for an EMS agency and is doing their field (EMS) clinicals there. They can wear their department's company uniform.
- That same student wants to complete their clinical (hospital) experiences at a hospital in their city. They MUST wear Texas EMS School's uniform to this site.
