Can I complete clinicals while on shift with my employer?
Axon students may complete clinical/field experiences with their employer and be "on shift" and paid by their employer for the shift, but students are only able to count clinical contacts on duty if they are not in one of the two primary provider roles required to exist by the state of Texas for an ambulance to be in service. In other words, they must operate as a third rider, with a Paramedic present and able to function as a preceptor.
