How do the clinical/field experiences work?

How do the clinical/field experiences work?

Students' experiences at clinical/field experiences will vary depending upon the service, type of provider or agency, type of call(s), etc. However, here is a very basic outline of the more common clinical/field experience days:
  1. Arrive at site location
  2. Check in with preceptor
  3. Follow direction from preceptor
  4. See patients and documents patient interactions (PCRs)
  5. Obtain all appropriate signatures from preceptor
  6. Finish up PCRs if at all possible
  7. Leave clinical/field site and head home!
