Why was my clinical/field shift rejected?

Why was my clinical/field shift rejected?

Your shift request may be rejected for one of the reasons below:

Missing Paperwork or Training
You did not complete the required paperwork and/or training needed for the site.
To avoid future delays, please complete paperwork/training when you submit your shift request.

Paperwork or Training Completed Too Late
You did not complete the required site paperwork in time for Axon to submit the shift request by the deadline.
Each site has a specific “Notice Required” timeframe shown when requesting shifts. Axon must receive all completed paperwork/training by that deadline in order to submit the request.

Site Criteria Not Met
You do not meet the site’s requirements. Some sites only allow employees to attend, or only allow certain student types or scopes (for example, Paramedic students only). This is usually listed on the site map page.

Site Cannot Accommodate
The site is unable to accommodate your request. This is usually because another student is already scheduled for that date, station, or department, or the site has reached capacity. If you were already scheduled when the rejection occurred, the site’s availability may have changed. Sites operate their own businesses and sometimes must adjust based on staffing or operational needs.

No Response From the Site
The site did not respond in time for the student to attend the requested shift date/time. The shift was rejected so students have clear confirmation not to attend. Sites do not always respond, and this is outside of Axon’s control. Students cannot contact sites for updates. Axon follows up with sites at regular intervals, but no response was received in time.
